What do you want your resume to do?
The purpose of a resume is to get an interview. That's it.
The first step is to make sure your resume gets read, then to include the kinds of information that will put it in the "yes" pile. Working together, we can enhance your resume so that the employers you want to talk to will want to talk to you. Here's how I can help you:
The "I Really Want One Great Resume" Package: Send me your resume! Once I have it, you and I will agree to a meeting time. At our meeting I'll provide you with specific written feedback and we'll talk about your concerns, background, skills and accomplishments. Working together, we will get those ideas on paper, with our goal being a resume that reflects a bit of who you are, not just what you have done. Be prepared to take notes and talk about your jobs, just like a job interview. Following our meeting, we'll work together to update your resume using your new skills, then we'll review it together by e-mail or phone until you feel it's right. One Great Resume usually takes between four and seven days and will require you to set aside some time to think about your accomplishments and write them down. Services start at $175.
The "I Need Different Resumes for Different Reasons" Package: We'll start with One Great Resume. From there we will work on different resumes for different reasons (for example, you're thinking of changing careers or you have a few different specialties). Services priced per project.
The "Help! I Need Advice From Someone Who Has Been on the Inside" Package: Maybe you need to prepare for a negotiation, or you already have a job, but need to get ready for a difficult conversation with your boss. I can help you navigate these "career turning points" by offering the voice of experience and preparing an action plan so you can get the results you want. We'll prepare by e-mail or phone, then meet to discuss the issue. We'll finish up by phone or e-mail. Services start at $150 per session.
